Normandy, France, and local recommendations
Even if you are a tourist, you don’t want to travel like one
Samya is the matriarch of her family of three, and in this distriKt they share with us their experiences in the Normandy region of France. They spent more of their time in Deauville and Honfleur playing in the sand, walking the farmers market, and eating fantastically exquisite-looking meals.
This authentic guide to Normandy is brimming with recommendations. As a local reporter, Samya knows the region very well. When it comes to accommodations, she’ll advise you to stay at Le Royal hotel in Deauville. She describes it as the best hotel in the area and, with a name “Le Royal,” she has to be right. Just one look at the building tells you all you need to know. Situated on the Boulevard de la Mer, the hotel backs up to the beach. Sounds pretty royal…
Come morning time we all need a little kickstart. Samya and her family go to Le Café de Paris for their morning café and croissants. If Samya says this is the place to be, then this is the place to be. On weekends, the place to be in Le Brumel restaurant. It’s only open Friday-Sunday afternoon, but when you eat there you get good food, friendly staff, a comparatively inexpensive meal (for its location), and beautiful surroundings.
