Vancouver, A Canadian Gem
Beaches, Mountains, Rivers, skyscrapers, and the Ocean
Vancouver, Canada, is a place like no other on the Pacific Coast, and thanks to Marjorie we get to see why for ourselves. She shows us that Vancouver is a place that adapts to her, the traveler, allowing her to do whatever she set her mind too. With landscaped parks, serene gardens, snow-capped mountains, flowing water features, forested hiking trails, and bustling city centers, Marjorie can do whatever she sets her mind to. The city is in the palm of her hand.
Marjorie absolutely loves Vancouver in the Fall, where walking down the street or through Stanley Park is truly a treat for the eyes. Red, yellow, and orange leaves adorn the trees and the ground below them, being lifted and swirled into the air for a brief moment with the rush of the occasional biker or skateboarder.
Whether Marjorie is in Stanley Park or walking Jericho Beach, the view of downtown shows her all that Vancouver has to offer, one thing after another. The sand of Jericho Beach made way for the tide of English Bay and its deep blue waters, providing a playground for sailor’s and transport ships alike. On the other end of the bay is the downtown skyline, sprouting up at the edge of a misty forest. Past the hikers in the forest, and beyond the trickle of several streams, sits the North Shore Mountains, itself a gift to all skiers and boarders. Marjorie takes it all in. This is her Vancouver.
