All about Alsace
No wonder France and Germany both want it so bad
This distriKt is a true day-in-the-life look at Myriam’s life in the Alsace region of France. Alsace is a region rife with history located along the French border with Germany, and is brought to life through the international reporting of Myriam.
According to Myriam, the French city of Eguisheim was voted – by the French – as the most beautiful city in all of France. It is a gorgeous village just minutes outside of Mulhouse, one of Myriam’s favorite locations in all of Alsace. It is recommended that you make extra space in your suitcase if you travel here (or anywhere in France, that is) so that you are able to bring some of the fabulous wines back home with you. Eguisheim looks like the perfect place to slow things down for an hour while enjoying an authentic glass of French wine surrounded by colorful flowers and vineyards.
In Myriam’s hometown of Mulhouse she knows everything about where to go for a quick bite or what to do when you have some free time. Her food recommendations look delicious, such as the freshly baked brioche with chocolate chips. Her advice is to get some hot chocolate to complement the slightly-sweet bread, especially in the winter! Basically all of her food recommendations look divine; there must be something about the food in France!
Mulhouse is somewhat deserted in the winter, which makes sense considering it’s the coldest time of year in this region. If you’re lucky, like Myriam was one day, the sun might come out for a few hours to brighten things up. Do you need brightening up? Maybe a trip to Alsace will do the trick.
