See something that you wouldn’t have expected

Clémence, who lives in France, went on a journey through North India that included visiting the massive city of New Delhi, India, as well as the region to the southeast of the city. During her journey she saw several of the illustrious temples in the area, including the Jama Masjid of Delhi (the largest mosque in all of India), and the Taj Mahal (one of the seven wonders of the world).

Her distriKt is a wonderful picture journey that captures so much of what makes India unique. When she visits a historical site, such as a temple, Clémence cannot simply take a picture and move on; she analyzes and then shows us the complexity and elaborateness of many of these beautiful structures. It is truly amazing to see that kind of attention be paid to every little detail.

There’s always something to do in a city of 21.7 million people, except New Delhi may be the only one to offer you a ride through the streets on the back of an elephant! This is India, after all…The elephant ride is a very different way to see the streets, but practical as well because the ride will offer plenty of time to absorb and take in all of the street vendors, flower weavers, parked camels, and three-wheeled taxis that fill the streets. See it for yourself, why don’t you!
